BETH SCHWEITZER or cash will be required for final payment on the puppy.
BUYER’S SIGNATURE DATE
HOPBROOK KENNEL promises to register the litter with the AKC using the Limited Registration option and to use HOPBROOK in the registered name of the dog.
HOPBROOK KENNEL guarantees that the parents of the litter are free from congenital hip dysplasia and inherited eye diseases as of the time of this breeding.
HOPBROOK KENNEL promises to take a puppy back within a TWO week period after its purchase for a full refund if:
1.within 48 hours after purchase, a qualified veterinarian has examined the puppy and a health certificate confirming the health of the puppy has been signed and sent to HOP BROOK KENNEL.
2.the puppy has not been physically abused or has become ill from improper care.
HOPBROOK KENNELreserves the right to return a buyer’s deposit on a puppy for ANY reason prior to the transfer of the puppy to his new home.
Note: The new owners take a risk with the puppy’s health if they use chemical lawn treatments. Hopbrook Kennel will not be responsible for failing health in a puppy that is affected by chemical lawn treatments.
Otherwise, the puppy can be returned but NO refund will be given.
HOPBROOK KENNEL stands behind its puppies and will handle any inherited medical problems in a puppy on an individual basis for a period of one year. Appropriate diagnostic tests and/or x-rays must accompany the discussion of a medical problem. In no way, is HOPBROOK KENNEL liable for medical expenses that are more than the purchase price of the dog.
THE BUYER promises:
1.to provide a healthy and happy environment for the dog. HOPBROOK reserves the right to reclaim the puppy if he spends his day chained to a dog house or tethered on a line.
2.to secure part of his yard with a conventional fence or an invisible fence so that the puppy cannot roam.
3.to have the puppy examined within 48 hours after the purchase date by a qualified veterinarian and to have a signed health certificate sent to HOP BROOK KENNEL.
4.to have the puppy complete at least one, preferably two, six to eight week puppy-training programs in a group class or with a private trainer.
5.to have the puppy spayed or neutered.
6.to notify HOPBROOK KENNEL if there is a change of address or a change of phone number.
7.The conditions as to the treatment and care of the puppy apply in the event the dogis resold or placed by the buyer.
Please note that the BUYER must give HOPBROOK KENNEL right of first refusal if the BUYER needs to place the dog.
HOPBROOK KENNELdoes notsell puppies for breeding purposes. All HOP BROOK puppies are sold with the American Kennel Club Limited Registration:
Section 4A Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows
Limited Registration may be requested for a dog when application for individual registration of the dog is submitted, provided the application, together with a request for such limitation is filed by the owner(s) of the litter at birth who must also be the owner(s) of the dog when the application is filed.
No offspring of a dog for which Limited Registration has been granted is eligible for registration. Each registration certificate for such dog shall carry notice of the limitation, and the limitation shall continue, regardless of any change of ownership, unless and until the owner(s) of the litter at birth shall apply to AKC for removal of the limitation.
If THE BUYER wants to use his dog or bitch for breeding purposes and if HOP BROOK agrees to apply to the AKC for a change in the registration from LIMITED to FULL, THE BUYER promises:
1.to allow HOPBROOK KENNEL to decide if the dog or bitch is a breeding quality animal and to allow HOPBROOK KENNEL to confirm the choice of stud dog or brood bitch.
2.to have the dog or bitch certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals to be clear of Canine Hip Dysplasia and to have the dog’s or bitch’s eyes examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist and found clear of inherited eye diseases.
3.to only breed with AKC registered dogs or bitches that have been certified by the OFA and that have been found clear of inherited eye diseases.
4.to wait to breed the dog or bitch until the animal is at least TWO years of age unless there is agreement with Beth Schweitzer.
